Liturgical Ministries
St. Teresa is very fortunate to have many dedicated ministers who make Mass possible each day, but we are always looking for more. Please consider joining one of the below ministries!
Proclaimer
Proclaimers proclaim scripture and lead the Universal Prayer during Mass. Adult and Youth (Freshman & up) are invited to be proclaimers.
Greeters & Ushers
Greeters and ushers are the first point of contact we have with people. Greeters welcome parishioners and guest and help to orient them to the parish. Ushers help people find seats, take the collection, and help guide people through the liturgy. Youth and adults are welcome to serve as greeters or ushers.
Music & Environment
Music ministers and environment designers work together to accentuate the beauty of the liturgy. We are reminded of God's gifts in the lovely floral and decorative displays in our worship space, and also in the music we hear and sing during Mass.
Eucharistic Ministers
Extraordinary ministers of the Holy communion assist in distributing Holy Communion during Mass. All Confirmed members of the parish are invited to serve in this ministry.
Youth Servers
Youth(grade 4th & up) and adults are invited to participate in the liturgy by assisting the priest at Mass. Families (parent/child, siblings, or other) are invited to serve together.
Adult Servers
Adult altar servers are welcomed to serve at weekend and daily Masses and assist the priest during the Mass.
Sacristans
Sacristans prepare the elements before Mass and make sure our congregation is ready to worship. They also keep the sacristy clean and orderly, maintain the vigil and sanctuary lights, and make sure the linens are properly cleaned. They also work with the environment committee to ensure our churches reflect the liturgical season.
