Seeds of Faith - Grades 1, 3, 4 and 5

Planting seeds of faith that will grow for a lifetime!

Seeds of Faith is designed for children in Grades 1, 3, 4, and 5 to explore, discover, and grow in their Catholic faith in a way that is fun, engaging, and meaningful

Using Saint Mary’s Press Discover! Finding Faith in Life curriculum, approved for use by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), children are encouraged to do more than simply learn about their faith—they get to experience it!

Through hands-on activities, Scripture, prayer, discussion, games, and interactive learning, each lesson brings our Catholic faith to life. Children will explore what we believe, discover why it matters, and learn how they can live out their faith at home, at school, and in the world around them.

Along the way, Seeds of Faith helps children build a strong Catholic foundation by growing in their understanding of Scripture, prayer, the Mass, Catholic traditions, and what it means to follow Jesus each day

Together, we’re planting the seeds, growing in faith, and discovering God’s love

Second grade is an extra-special year in Seeds of Faith! Children will continue growing in their Catholic faith while preparing for two very important milestones—their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

Using Saint Mary’s Press Go, Seek, Find: Sacrament Preparation, children will set out on an exciting faith-filled journey as they explore The Catholic Children’s Bible and discover the beauty and meaning of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Each lesson turns learning into an adventure with hands-on activities, Scripture, treasure maps, stickers, prayer, and discovery! Along the way, children will:

Go — Jump into each lesson with prayer and a fun activity that introduces the day’s theme.

Seek
— Explore Scripture and discover what God’s Word teaches us about the sacraments.
Find
— Dig deeper into what the sacrament means and how it brings us closer to Jesus.

Throughout the year, children will grow in their understanding of God’s love and forgiveness, the Mass, the Eucharist, and what it means to receive Jesus in Holy Communion

It’s a year filled with faith, discovery, celebration, and unforgettable moments as our second graders prepare to encounter Jesus in these beautiful sacraments!
