I'm New Here

WHEN YOU VISIT
Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?

But we know that those questions are pretty simple. What you really want to know is if your relationship with God will grow at our parish. Please continue checking out our website for those things that are most important to you. Hopefully, you will find what you're looking for, and that you will join our parish. We encourage you to schedule an appointment with our Parish Director, Deacon Allen by calling the Parish Office at 262/966-2191, to become a member of our parish.

Why did you visit? Perhaps you are looking for a new parish, or are tired of large church experiences. Maybe you just moved to the area, or are struggling with a spiritual or personal issue. We are here to walk with you through whatever challenges you are facing.

At both the Monches and North Lake churches, you will likely sense the prayerfulness that permeates both environments. In the silence of Adoration or at the celebration of Holy Mass, you will experience peacefulness and healing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHEN ARE MASSES?
Monday-Thursday  |  8 am (North Lake)
Saturday  |  4:30 pm (North Lake)
Sunday  |  9 am (North Lake) and 11 am (Monches)

WHEN IS CONFESSION AVAILABLE?
Confession is available at 3:30 pm Saturdays before the 4:30 am Mass. There are also some celebrations (like EXALT! or Men of Christ) where confessions are heard.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! However, we do request that shorts be of a conservative length (no “short-shorts”) and that in general, clothing be respectable and conservative.

HOW DO I GET TO THE PARISH?
North Lake is located at W314 N7462 WI-83, North Lake, WI
Monches is located at W302 N9583 O'Neil Road, Hartland, WI

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Parking is available in the back of the North Lake church, and in front and on the side of the church in Monches.

WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?
Children are welcome an any celebration. We love to see - and hear - children at Mass!

I’M NOT CATHOLIC, HOW DO I KNOW WHEN TO SIT, STAND, AND KNEEL?
There are Mass directions at the back of each church. Also, you can just observe the actions of the people around you.

I’M NOT CATHOLIC, IS IT OKAY FOR ME TO  PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNION?
Communion, or The Eucharist, is the most intimate expression of our faith. Catholics believe that the host is literally the body of Christ, transformed from bread by the priest presiding over the Mass. Most evangelicals think of Communion as symbolic, so it makes sense that they are not as strict about having the right relationship to it as Catholics and Orthodox Christians who believe it is a sacrament and the true presence of Christ. So, if you are not Catholic, we ask that you not receive communion. However, those not receiving the Body of Christ and Precious Blood (when it again becomes available) are invited to come forward with their hands crossed over their chests for a special blessing.

AM I EXPECTED TO PUT MONEY IN THE OFFERING?
If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering basket at the back of the churches. If you consider our parish your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving to our parish on a weekly basis. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can sign up for online giving here

I HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM, IS THERE ANY SPECIAL ASSISTANCE?
We offer personal sound amplification units, available for check-out in the Sacristy of the North Lake church.
